My Background

Hi there! I am Anurag Chatterjee, a year 3 undergraduate student, double majoring in Electrical Engineering and Innovation And Design at the National University Of Singapore (NUS), with specialization in Internet of Things (IoT).

I would rather call myself a humble, ideas, design and a people person - having snippets of technical knowledge and a mind of lifelong learning, coupled with dash of public speaking, project experience & team leadership skills under my belt.

I carry with me a self-initiative attitude with a strong emphasis on EQ, relationships building, a challenging vision, and an overflowing energy into whatever I do. In essence, I’m a dynamic team player who prioritizes important tasks at hand with minimal information and guidance and have a firm passion for problem solving.

My interests lay in the intersection of engineering & business and intend to embark on a technical leadership career in tech product management. I aim to either lead a large tech/engineering division in unicorn startups (product) then pursue intrapreneurship within innovation hubs in MNC's to work towards becoming a Chief Product Or Innovation Officer/CEO/VP, Engineering & Strategy Head.

Developed a global mindset having lived in multiple countries i.e. India, Egypt & Singapore. Hold both technical & business related work experiences spanning from Singapore's deep tech startups (early stage & established) to corporate innovation hubs within MNC's.

Demonstrated results in business development, sales, market research, operations, startup strategy & engineering (electronics, IoT & product design). My work accomplishments:

👉Created business partnerships for a nascent startup through pitching & designed marketing campaigns to boost sales growth by~40%
👉Delivered deep tech projects (IoT & Electronics) on time for engineering startups to develop internal technical capabilities for deployment
👉Managed strategy & operations in student-run startups to drive growth by~20%

👉Involved in strategic business/technical projects (MNC & Tech Startups) & Innovation Hub workshops for solution ideation to Fortune 500 clients

Actively participated in entrepreneurship competitions, university engineering teams, coding courses & innovation challenges on human-centric design (won consolation prize of 100 SGD) where I honed design thinking & problem solving skills which would help me propel more towards intrapreneurship, engineering & product management related careers in tech startups. 

In order to prepare myself for a technical leadership career, I took on several leadership roles in various student chapters and youth organizations in university, ranging from engineering student chapters to student governments, entrepreneurship societies and youth volunteering clubs with a global presence of 200+ members. This has given me strong foundation in both project and team management, strategy, people and organizational skills which are crucial for professional success!

Displayed an overall good competency in student leadership, project & team management in university where I've:
➡️Communicated with 200 undergrads, student council members and professors as ambassador to improve student life in NUS Engineering
➡️Managed teams of 5 to spearhead industry projects, talks & professional development events with corporate & rotary professionals for 50+ students
➡️Collaborated with 20+ SG startup founders to help promote greater understanding of the ASEAN startup ecosystem to 50+ students
